IS IT TIME?

"The impressions we leave behind, the quiet whispers of our voices. What echoes after our names."

Following the above as a prompt, I was inspired to submit photographs I had taken of my late grandfather Mohammad's home. The photos were taken prior to his passing, in response to my sido Hisham's passing in 2023. Sido Hisham's home was in Amman, and before I could say goodbye, the home was emptied and renovated. I felt that I had lost him twice, never having had the chance to see the home one last time as it was before he was gone.

I decided I wouldn't lose the chance to document my teta Maqbouleh and Sido Mohammad's home in Sharjah before it was too late. A little over a year later after this photoshoot, sido Mohammad passed away.
